Yarn love!!!

Remember my love for yarn :-) I'd been to commercial Street a couple of weeks back and guess what I got some more yarn :-)

I'd been to Surya Emporium and I must say they have a wonderful collection. They even had ruffled yarn, but I didnt buy them as I felt I wont be needing them anytime soon.

I guess I'll need a yarn winder soon ;-)

Would you like to see how my yarn stash looks now ?? Here it is

That's all I have for you today.
Till I post again!!

The Crochet Bug....

I started crocheting many months back and my friends say I have picked it up very fast :-) I crave for Friday evenings so that I can find some extra time to work on my unfinished projects.

I love roaming around the streets of Raja Market(Avenue road) in Bangalore looking for yarn and other crochet accessories :-) Commercial street is my next favourite yarn hunting destination. The last time I visited commercial street with my mum, I found a shop called "Surya emporium". Both of us got some yarn. Btw amma's currently working on a carry bag. Here are some pics of it. Cool na ?

I frequently visit Belgaum as my in-laws live there and my crochet craze continued ;-) I happened to find yarn shops very close to our house. Belgaum being a smaller town than Bangalore, all shops are just 5 mins away from home. How I wish it was the same in Bangalore...
Everything's close by in Belgaum... Schools, colleges, eateries, multiplexes, railway stations, airport and what not!! I envy…

Lacy Stole

My friend's birthday was just around the corner and I was trying to gather ideas for her birthday gift. That's when the idea of a stole struck me and I found my next crochet project :-)  After having surfed the net for quite some time , I came across this beautiful pattern. Got some woollen yarn from my local yarn store and I started off. In a couple of weeks time, the stole was done and ready to be wrapped :-)

My friend's happiness knew no bounds when she saw the stole and what else could I have asked for ;-)

Till I post again!

Bloom Bloom!!

Its spring and the BouganVillea plant at my mum's is blooming :-)

My sister loves gardening as much as I hate. But what I don't mind is clicking pics of the plants. Since she's not in India, she insists on having a look at her plants every now and then :-) (I guess to check up on their state :P)

My dad waters them and mum prunes them :-)
Good job!!!

My flowers are blooming too.... :-) :-)

Me and Deutschland

I had been to Germany for 10 months for a project assignment. The stay was awesome and I enjoyed every bit of it. I got to explore Europe and travel to a few countries nearby. Learnt little bit of Deutsche too ;-)

Pudina plant in my kitchen :-)

Fresh Cherrrrrrriesss!!!!

Rarely found coriander in the city I stayed.

food & fultoo feast :-)

I always felt the days were longer in the small town in Germany than in Bangalore. You tend to get a lot of time for yourself on weekends if you have no functions to attend, no TV time(actually all time in TV time :P) etc. etc.
I had the luxury to experiment in the kitchen even on weekdays which I no longer have :(

This was the result of our dosa craving in Germany :-)

Palak Bahar

Chatpat Jhatpat!!! :-)

At the end of it all, my husband lost 6 kilos during our stay in Germany.
Give me a break!!!!!!

Europaaaa !!

As I have mentioned in my earlier posts, I have travelled a few countries in Europe :-) I would love to share some pictures :-)

Remember the disney castle!!!!
Its located in SouthWest Bavaria in Germany. To reach the castle you need to walk uphill, which was quite tiring.

A closer look.

Colourful Netherlands

Reminds me of my yarn stash, which is as colourful as this ;-)
